Hello. You need to use swipe gestures from the bottom of the screen. Place a finger on the bottom of the screen, doesn't matter where, and you hear and feel a bump. If you then slide up, you will encounter 2 beeps and vibrations. The first is the Home screen vibration, and the second is for the App Switcher. Simply lift your finger when you find the one you want. It is a little hard to describe, but once you get it down, you will have it. If I want to go to the App Switcher on my iPhone XR, I put my finger at the bottom of the screen, feel the bottom bump and here the low pitched bonk, and then slide up until I hear and feel the second bonk and vibration, and then I lift my finger.
