No. It just gives you not another option for making certain gestures. There's just a virtual assistive touch button on your screen, usually near the botom. I like it because I find the sliding gesture hard to do, meaning that I've never actually gotten it to work. It sounds easy from the descriptions but its never worked for me. Personally I prefer the physical home button, so I will stick with that kind of phone as long as I can.
