I found the Net Analyzer app in the app store and while I don’t understand a lot of the info, it has a nice feature to scan your network and identify the devices connected to it. It showed my Del PC, our Samsung TV, the Apple TV, all of our currently connected Apple devices and a couple odd names that I suspect are our printers, and the router of course and I think it also showed our wi-fi thermostat. There is apparently a pro version for $3.99 that offers more features, but the free one gives lots of info. It has a ping test. It is worth comparing with Speedtest.
