good afternoon. This is a long message but I urge you to read it all if you use voiceover. I have attempted to make a comprehensive list of all the errors I have noticed that far. Please comment and let me know if you can repeat any or all of these errors and if so, which ones. Also let me know how to contact Apple voiceover support to report these problems. I am having several problems with voiceover and iOS 14. I have tried to make a comprehensive list because these problems just started today or yesterday. I bought my iPhone 11 promax on September 8. I updated four or five days ago whenever the update was available. For some reason either I didn’t notice, or the problems were not occurring for the first few days. Can anyone else reproduce any or all of these issues?
Reaching down to the right corner to hit the dictate button sometimes just holding my finger on the screen makes the iPhone click endlessly as if I am scrolling through thousands of pages This endless clicking when you hold your finger down on the screen also occurs randomly and other apps when you simply put a finger on the screen and don’t move it. It sounds like you’re moving it as fast as humanly possible clicking thousands of times but going nowhere The other day My iPhone completely became unresponsive in part. I could flip back-and-forth open up folders but could not open any app. double clicking did nothing. Siri would not do anything. Asking her to do anything at all resulted in her stating the obvious, there’s a problem. Holding down the power button and volume did not bring up slide slide to shut down I had to do a hard reset. For iPhones that do not have a home button, the way you do this is quickly pressing volume up, volume down, then holding the side power button until your phone shows the Apple logo Opening up the mail app focus get stuck on the search box in the search button continuously flicking right does not change the focus to the list of folders or list of male messages. The same thing happens when opening up the message application. Focus get stuck on the search box. The only way to get out of this is to tap somewhere else on the screen there by manually changing the focus to the list of text messages or list of emails or whatever Opening up settings accessibility voiceover audio and haptics none of the customizations for different functions, that is determining for each type of activity whether you want vibrate and or sound to occur, none of those customizations have any effect. Sound and vibrations are always played Occasionally when I go to the app switcher, the app switcher opens but the phone continues to read the home screen as if the app switcher never came up when the focus is on the enter button on the keyboard it used to be that flicking right once took you to the dictate button. Now, it sometimes clicks twice as if it is skipping and does not always read the full word, dictate. It interrupts itself like it struggling If you try to merge a call to do a three-way conversation, hitting add call takes you to the contact list so you can decide who else to add to the conversation. However voiceover jumps around like a jack rabbit and will not get off the first name in the alphabetical list of whatever group you were looking at. No matter where are you touching the screen it’s stuttering and only reads a portion of the first persons alphabetical name When reading the content of a widget displayed on the home screen, flicking upp down does not always bring up the options of next widget previous widget or edit like it supposed to. I was just about ready to send this email, put my finger on the send button flipped right in order to read the address carbon copy box in subject box, and instead voiceover took me to the keyboard options for attach pictures etc. I just tried it again and the air did not occur. It’s very hit and miss on that one. The problem mentioned above with the dictate button has already been explained. But I just remembered that because of this error, I deleted my emoji keyboard. Before the error was occurring but instead of stuttering over the word dictate, it would say :-) :-) :-) even though I was on the letter keyboard so to be clear, I would have my finger on the enter key, decide I wanted to dictate some text, flipp to The right, and instead of the word dictate, it would say :-) :-) : Those are what I have noticed so far. There are likely more such as focus not being able to be switched off of the search box in the settings app and less you manually do it by putting your finger somewhere else on the screen. It seems the more I use the phone the more errors occur. Maybe I just didn’t notice these errors for the first few days because I was just blown away by the uniqueness of the iOS and fancy new phone, I upgraded from a iPhone 6s so it was a big difference, but I don’t think so. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
