I looked on my imap account and went to advanced. I saw an option for how long to keep deleted messages but nothing about leaving them on the server or not.I’m running 14.4 and a new se2020

Easy answer, do your deleting on the computer. If your phone is set to use Pop3, you can go into the settings and tell it to leave messages on the server.
