Hello Louise and Alan, Sorry if I disagree with you Alan, you actually want to check Settings > Accessibility > Voiceover > Audio and then look for where it says "Auto Select Speaker in Call" and make sure that is turned on. This is the setting which controls whether call audio switches automatically to the speakerphone if you hold your phone away from your face.

The choices are Automatic, Bluetooth headset, and Speaker on my iPhone 13 Mini. I think setting this to automatic will give you what you want. Now it doesn’t. Even if I move the volume up, it is still in my ear and not on speaker. If I’m outside near traffic, I cannot hear a conversation, but if I go indoors, I can hear the phone close to my ear. What do I do to change this, or has Apple changed the feature? Very frustrating. Thanks in advance. Louise -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
