I would get an iPhone 13 pro. I think you will be very happy.

Hi all, thanks for your prompt replies and suggestions !

Well iPhone ex is not giving me any trouble and it can easily go for next 8 to
9 months and due to Smart Chip global shortages and expected price rise of
iPhone 14 and no expectations to bring any Ground breaking upgradation in
iphone 14 for VO users, I think it will be better to buy iPhone 13 right away.

Thank you once again to all of you for the replies!

I actually made that decision and got an iPhone 13 a couple of months ago. The
better performance and battery life were very tempting. I was also able to get
the 512 gb version and thereby double my onboard storage space. The better
camera has proven to be a much more appreciated improvement that I would ever
have guessed given my total blindness.

Part of what decided me was my concern around price hikes and supply shortages
over the next number of years. Particularly for those of us on fixed incomes,
we're in for a rough stretch. Having as up to date a tool as I can afford
seemed like a good idea. It does so many things in life that I'd hate to have
the battery be worn out or some other thing go wrong when I might not be able
to afford a replacement. My XR is still kept as a backup and is also helpful
when I demonstrate apps while on Zoom calls among other things. The performance
difference is certainly noticable between the two phones. However, it wouldn't
be disasterous if I needed to send my new phone for repairs and use it as my
main phone again. That wasn't the case for my iPhone 7 which I've given to a
niece who wanted it. Going from a 7 to an XR, you really feel the difference.
So many things, including VoiceOver, make heavy use of the AI neural engine.
The XR with its A12 chip can still hang in there but I get the sense that its
future as my backup might be two or three years at the very most.

As Christopher already said, if you are unhappy with your phone, the 13 series
are great phones. If you are not in a hurry to change phones then wait the 8
or 9 months to see what the 14 brings. Then, you could buy a 13 at likely a
slightly lower price if the 14 doesn’t offer that much over the 13.

The 13 has a much faster processer than the X you have now, and better cameras.

Are there particular aspects of the new phone that has you chomping at the bit?

Subject: Buying iPhone 13 or wait for iPhone 14

Hi friends, currently I'm using iPhone X in very good condition and want to
upgrade to the newest iPhone.
So, I should go for iPhone 13 or wait for iPhone 14, as reports suggest some
major upgradation are expected in iPhone 14 but I felt these are all for
sighted people and no reports suggesting anything new for blind or voice over
user's perspective.
So, do you think I should wait or go for iPhone 13 only?

Your suggestion will be highly appreciable!
