They got their phones through their carriers. I believe one uses Verizon and the other two use AT&T. The phone is called a Kyocera. There are different models, so make sure they have the ones with speech capability - read out, they call it on some phone. In my experience, I have to be emphatic that I need to understand what a phone says. It does not need to understand what I say, as I can use a keypad.
