Hello Mark, That is not the case with Duolingo. There aren’t any photos they display the words both in English and the language that you’re learning say English in Spanish for example and you have to match the Spanish word with the English word no pictures involved there are tabs per options and when I mean tap the pairs, you just double tap like you would since you’re using voiceover. When you’ve gotten it all correct you’ll hear a little chime telling you that it’s done and that you’ve successfully matched each foreign word with English for example. I have never tried Pimsleur before I mean I’ve heard their audio tapes but that was way back in the day lol! Didn’t know they had an app and as for dual lingo plus which is the subscription the cheapest one is $9.99 a month.
