Hi Chuck, You might want to ask somebody who knows how to use Face Id to help you for a bit until you get the hang of it. Here is what I do:
1. I wake up my phone by tapping the screen, but if you have tap to wake turned off which some people prefer then just press the side button 2. I touch near the bottom of the screen in the middle until I hear the little two-tone and then as I look at the phone I swipe up 3. Face Id recognizes my face and I am instantly placed on the home screen I am actually trying to remember how I can unlock my phone with Face Id and not be put on the home screen, but so far I haven’t found a way to do this. Where exactly do you end up after Face Id recognizes your phone and unlocks it? Touch ID is not available on iPhone swithout home buttons and having used phones with both types of biometric identification, face ID works much better than touch ID.
