He said the clicks he heard when touching the screen were not the clicks heard when speech simply had been turned off. He had to get a sighted person to enter his pass code before it would work. He is a good iphone user, he said that nothing he tried would get it to work. I hope these are isolated incidents, I put it out there for others to test.
