Unless folks have a really old phone, I am recommending everyone wait a year or two for future upgrades. Yes, the 2023 iPhones will have USBC. It is unclear if that will only be for the Pros or for the whole lineup. Transfer speeds will be dramatically faster. I have a 512 GB in storage on my iPhone with a couple hundred gigs for music. Transferring these files will take a lot less time. The whole electronics industry is adopting USBC so it is worth waiting for. The processor on the iPhone 14 Pro is just eight percent faster than in the 13 Pro. The rumor is that the iPhone in 2023 or 2024 will have the new generation of microprocessors that will be much faster and more energy efficient. I am happy to have an iPhone 13 Mini so I can wait for these innovations while I enjoy the new snazzy straight side design that started with the iPhone 12.
