With any non MagSafe compatible phones and chargers you have to make sure the phone is positioned really good especially if it has a case. Of course it also depends how thick your case is, but while I used a Mophie charging pad with my iPhone 11 a lot as well, I found you really have to make sure you don't bump the phone once it's on the pad and it started charging. With a MagSafe compatible phone like iPhone 12 or above this is not an issue, the magnet is fairly strong and the phone just sticks to the charger and it is always in the correct position.and cases
