I am also not sure what might be the problem, but I find files show up quite fast. I often save screenshots of bank transactions on my iPhone and I then share the file via Dropbox so I can save it on my computer and I would say as soon as I tap the upload button on my iPhone, it takes at most 10 seconds before I hear Jaws give me the notification from Dropbox that the file was added.
