I have a paid account. In my Dropbox history I have had 6 devices, and at the moment I think it says that I've 3 devices linked. (That is, and older iPhone and my present iPhone, and my present pc.)

My reinstalled Dropbox recognised my current iPhone - and didn't count it as another device.

I for one would log inm to your account and see how many devices are listed since with a free account you can only have 3 devices. I am not even sure if you delete Dropbox from your iPhone and reinstall it, if that doesn't count as a new device.

Sieghard,

That figures. The problem is more likely to be that the desktop's Dropbox may not be, for whatever reason, showing online when you think it is.

Last week, when I had the problem, after an iOS update, I uninstalled Dropbox from my iPhone and then afterwards reinstalled it. I hoped that solved whatever is the problem. My Dropbox worked mutually until about Sunday anyway. Yesterday, when the problem showed itself to me again, I entertained the possibility that it might be some other issue, common to Dropbox users of iPhone and (Windows) PC. and thus my raising it here.

I am also not sure what might be the problem, but I find files
show up quite fast. I often save screenshots of bank transactions
on my iPhone and I then share the file via Dropbox so I can save
it on my computer and I would say as soon as I tap the upload
button on my iPhone, it takes at most 10 seconds before I hear
Jaws give me the notification from Dropbox that the file was added.

I do not have a solution, but I've noticed that it can take a long
time for files to show up.

        Hello,

I have the iOS (current up-to-date published version) of
Dropbox, and the Dropbox Desktop app for Windows.

Sometimes, when I wish to share a file with others, and drop
my file into their folder shared with me,  using my Desktop's
Dropbox, it's not shared or being seen by those others with
whom the folders are shared. (I can ascertain that this will
be the case and is, if, as sometimes happens, the files aren't
being seen by me on my iPhone either, in the folders.)

The current solution I've found to this is to connect my
iPhone to my PC, and with a bit of navigating and what-not,
getting both my Dropboxes to see each other on-line.

Has anyone else experienced this anomaly, and have you solved
it without recourse to uninstalling either the iOS version or
the Windows Desktop version of Dropbox?

I have found Dropbox to be quite opaque, when trying to ferret
        out issues.

        Help appreciated.
