As Sieghard mentioned, with the 14 and 15 they give the non-pro models the previous phone’s chip. This year the regular iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will get the A17 Bionic from last year and I assume that these phones will therefore meet the minimum requirements for Apple Intelligence. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max if that is what they will be called will get the latest A18 chip. I assume Apple will want as many people to have access to Apple Intelligence and I therefore don't think they would consider making it available only on Pro phones and nothing was said about it during the presentation either. My 2-year contract for my 13 Pro will be up I think in late November and I may just have to upgrade in order to get access to Apple Intelligence and all it can do and all the new Siri with Chat GPT integration can do. Normally I would have probably kept my iPhone 13 Pro for another year, but this all sounds just too cool and useful to pass it up.
