Richard,  I suspect since BARD Mobile is already accessible with VoiceOver in its native form, those results you're getting are the very reason we recommend that screen recognition not be left on unless one is positive that it benefits the app in question. If you're noticing an app that used to work and now VoiceOver doesn't seem to be speaking much of anything, try using the rotor to turn on screen recognition for that app to see if you get different results.
