If you have backed your phone to the cloud than you can get your apps from
there.

Subject: iTunes and getting a new iPhone

  Hi,
I have an iPhone 4 and plan to get an iPhone 5, hopefully, in the next few
weeks.
I had to get a new computer as my old XP system bit the dust.
I have not yet installed iTunes on the new computer, which is running windows
7.
I had stopped using iTunes on the old computer as I didn’t need it.
I assume they can transfer my contacts to a new iPhone, but not my apps.
  Is that correct?
  Thanks,
  Crystal
