My understanding is that the DND bug in 6.0.2 resolved itself on Monday, January 7, so this shouldn't be related.
You might also want to check your alarm volume. I had a similar problem, and it was because my alarm volume was too low to hear. I didn't have any trouble hearing VO, but like I said, it was hard hearing the alarms. I'm not exactly sure what I did to fix it, but I assume I brought up some music or an alarm and then used the volume buttons to make sure it was loud enough.
