Hi Carol, It is Gmail that creates and manages this folder, not Apple. If you use Gmail in Microsoft Outlook or another mail client, or indeed if you access your Gmail account using the standard view on the web, you'll see this folder as well. You should be able to hide it from showing up in IMAP using the Gmail website.
