Okay, so let's say I dismiss all my apps from App Switcher. That means they're all shut down? But, things that don't seem to take up much resources like FaceBook, Twitter, Skype, the AIM client, … They can just stay waiting for Push notifications, and will be in the app switcher.
Here's an interesting thing: There's a four-fingered swipe gesture that switches you to the next app in the queue. However, sometimes, when I did that swipe, I heard the cutest little child-like voice saying what I thought was "app Switcher," or maybe I was just hallucinating. How does one refine this four-fingered swipe to rapidly switch applications?
