Hi,

in my opinion, it sounds like your more curious than dissatisfied with your
iPhone or, IOS. if this is indeed the case, I suggest picking up a nexus 7 if
you want to have a low cost Android experience. Yes, accessibility has come a
long way. And, for some, I wouldn't even hesitate to recommend an Android
device depending on their level of technological ability. But when it comes to
set it, and forget it? Hands down, IOS still has Android beat in my opinion.
From a accessibility perspective, to me talkback still has the feeling of a
screen reader bolted onto an OS instead of one built into an OS. For example,
the gestures used for talkback. You need to draw right angles. I'm use to it
but, I get a lot more gestures that don't register for more than on IOS. And
web browsing still leaves much to be desired. But, this is on a nexus 7, no
physical keyboard. A phone with a keyboard might have different results. But,
in short, if just looking for a change, I would pick up a nexus 7 to see if you
like how Google does things. If you do, and you don't mind leaving the Apple
ecosystem you seem to be deeply in, you might then want to pick up an Android
phone.
