No one can tell you whether you "should" get an app, but if you want a very good app for listening to books, and other files with a choice of several high quality voices, and want to support a developer who is committed to making an app that is fully VoiceOver accessible, then you may want to get the app. Here is the link to the paid version in the app store where you can read all about it and read some reviews:
