Hi, one way Apple could make it indirectly easier for people with hand
problems is to make it less likely to have to change the rotor. This might
be accomplished by giving the user the option to have each app remember the
last rotor settings used in that app. So, if I am on a web page and have the
rotor set to headings, I can close Safari and open a keyboard app where the
rotor is still on, for example, characters, because that is where it was the
last time I used the app. I go back to Safari, and the rotor is now back on
headings. Of course, this would work best in my opinion, if it were an
option one could use or not use.

My favourite technique is one applied by another member of this list and
that is to hold the phone in one hand and turn it anticlockwise whilst
moving your fingers of the right-hand clockwise. I can do all the
techniques, but find that this places less stress on my fingers than the
others outlined.

technique that I described above works great for me, and when I find the
rotor setting that I want to use, I can then flick up or down with my right
index finger.
