Hello,

When I first began using Talking Goggles, I was having the same problems. Make
sure you have selected the video mode and you have plenty of light. If lighting
is questionable, then tap on the flash button in the upper left hand corner of
the app.I just the app about 10 when JAWS was not and I wanted to ascertain
what was on the screen that may be blocking it. It work just fine. I hold the
camera about 2-3 inches away from the object for the app to have a chance to
capture the written materials. It even worked at starbucks, withs lots of noise
and poor lighting. HTH.
