I think on my iPhone 4S 64 Gig it's something like 58 or so GB free. Keep in mind that iOS does take up space, too. iOS users are the luckyu ones, if you buy a 64 Gig Windows 8 Professional Surface tablet you have something like 20 or 23 Gig free, over 40 Gig are set aside for Windows.
