I can answer your first 2 questions. I don't use a braille display, so I'm 
giving you the gestures on the phone.

To lock portrait mode, go to the app switcher and do a 3 finger swipe to the

right, which takes you to page 2 of the app switcher. The first option on 
this page is the rotation lock button that allows you to switch between 
unlocked and portrait lock.

To turn on touch typing, you have to be in an edit fieled. Once you're in an

edit field, typing mode will be one of the options in the roter. Just swipe 
down to select touch typing.
