Sorry, when I said I'll use my computer when I got home, I meant that I'll pull up thunderbird and respond to the message in Thunderbird from my computer. I wasn't referring to any way to enter text from my PC to my iPhone, although others use different apps and applications to do this.

As far as a cable to connect your iPhone 5 to your PC, your iPhone 5 should have come with a cable that has a Lightning plug on one end and a USB plug on the other end. The Lightning plug plugs into the bottom of your iPhone and the USB plug goes into your computer. This is the same plug you use to plug into the AC charging cube.

Hi Chris,

I never thought to check when I got my Iphone 5 but what kind of cable
connects the iphone to the computer?

I didn't get any kind of cable for this task with the phone.

Subject: Re: How do you'll type very long messages on your Iphone?

I've been known to use the on screen keyboard, even for long messages,
but generally for longer messages, I either use a Verbatim bluetooth
keyboard paired with my iPhone or wait until I get home and use my
computer. When I use the Verbatim keyboard, I use the keyboard commands
to simulate VO gestures, so that keeps me from moving back and forth
between the keyboard and the touch screen, although sometimes there are
a few things that are just easier to find on the touch screen.

To review text, you can use a VO gesture called the roter to adjust
whether you're moving by character, word or line. Once you have that
set, you can then just flick up or down to move according to what you
just set with the roter.

I am thinking to purchase an Iphone 4g. However, i am wondering how do
you'll type such big messages on the Iphone? If you write big mails,
how do you review them before sending?
Sorry for such fullish questions. Just qurious.
Thanks,
Bhavesh.
