Uh. The last update we pulled in for the Breeze in this house? That would be
yesterday. And yes, it was free. Now, granted to buy any other map, there's
an extra cost. So say you're going to England for a vacation and decide to
drag your GPS along. Except you won't be dragging the Seeing Eye app along,
as it doesn't even work over there.

Hi Mich,

There is nothing misleading since if you didn't know about the subscription
this simply means you didn't read the full app description and information.
Right after where it says the app is free, the release date and customer
ratings it says the following:

Top In-App Purchases
1. Three Year Subscription$129.99
2. One Year Subscription$69.99

OK, so I was remembering the old price for the Breeze, but even at $500 I
cam buy 4 3-year subscription renewals (4 times $130 = $520) which means 12
years of up-to-date coverage. When did you last get a map update for your
Trekker? Was it free?

OK, I know this is actively defending the Seeing Eye app which I am sure has
its shortcomings. But I really dislike it if people bash a product which
took an enormous amount of dedication and resources to develop simply
because it's not given to them for virtually nothing. How about all that
HUmanware greed, I mean how dare they charge the original adopters of the
Breeze $800 or $900 and now they are :"giving it away" for little more than
half that.

Regards,
Sieghard

I would like to join in on this by saying that I didn't download the app but
since the app it's self is free it is verry miss leading to download a free
appand then find out that o wate it isn't free after all since you need to
by a subscription to use it!!! jmo. I will stick with my trekker. and to the
person who asked how mutch the breeze is it is 499 at this time it is on
sail. from Mich.
