Well, when I bought Look Around from Sendero one of the first apps I bought,
I was looking for a church near home. It thought Church's chicken was a
church and entirely missed St. Daniel's Catholic church which is nearly in
my front yard. I got a laugh out of the chicken , after church maybe!

I am not sure it is automatic, you choose which source you want to use. You
are not using all three at once. Four Square are people contributed and may
not always be that helpful. Near my office is a park that is owned by a
church. The park has an iffy reputation. It's name is Saint Francis Park."
In four square you get "Dirty, Scary Church Park."

Entertaining perhaps but not overly useful.

Other then subscribing to the app, and registering it, you do not have to
sign up for anything. It uses foursquare's points of interest, but you do
not have to sign into foursquare. Everything is automatic.

I noticed in the Users Guide there were 3 ways to get POIs - NavTech,
FourSquare, and OSM.

Does this mean we have to look for POIs in 3 different ways, or should this
be seamless to the end-user?

I use BlindSquare, but not FourSquare. Would I need to sign up with
FourSquare to use FourSquare POIs within the Seeying Eye GPS app?

Thanks. Keith

To alleviate your concerns somewhat, the maps in the Seeing I app are not
stored on your phone at all. They are stored in the cloud so presumably they
are updated regularly on the servers themselves. Thus, you don't have the
same problem that you have with other conventional GPS applications of
having to download map updates to your phone. I hope this helps.

Hi, for those of you familiar with both the new Seeing Eye GPS app and the
core Maps app, can you lay out the differences? I understand turn by turn
walking directions are not available until iOS 7. Anything else? My biggest
concern with the Seeing Eye app is the longevity of the maps. I don't want
to pay an annual subscription only to be stuck with only annual map updates.
Mind you, I don't know that this is the case, just an observation from using
previous Sendero products.
