Hi Bill, What you described should work. Only way it wouldn't work is if you selected to sync only selected tones. In that case you might have to do one more thing before it will sync. With your iPhone connected go to the Tones button, check it and then tab until you get to your listview or tones. Find your new tone and make sure it Is checked.

I haven't tried to sync just yet, but I'm hoping this will work. It will be one way to "skin this cat."
