Hi, the reason VO goes seemingly silent is because it helps prevent from
it speaking on your recordings. The trouble is that if you don't know
where on the screen the stop button is, that can be a bit disconcerting
and leave you out at sea with no paddles. Or so it feels that way. So,
here is what I recommend. Voxie Pro by Bottle Rocket. This also makes VO
go totally quiet, but if you record in express mode, you can shake phone
to start and shake once again to stop. Plus a tone is played when it
starts and stops recording. Plus, if the shaking isn't working, or you
don't want to do that, there is only one button in the middle of the
screen, so if VO is silent because it's recording, just touch the middle
of the screen once, then double tap like a normal button and the
recording will stop. Voxie has the ability to record in 16Khz, 22Khz and
44Khz to make the quality from lowest to highest. You can save the
recordings to your computer via iTunes file sharing or via the built-in
web browser and get them from your pc browser that way. There are a ton
of recording apps, but this one is the first one which comes to mind,
and is my favorite. It doesn't have dropbox like some others do, but i
still use this one over most on my iPhone 4s. It should work on the 5
just as good.

Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend me a good, VO-accessible, voice
recorder ap for Iphone 5? I have experimented with several, with
results ranging from average (basic workability) to totally unusable
and/or totally silent, with VO going into apparent paralysis and causing
me to do likewise. I am after something with as clear as possible
recording quality, to be used for recording meetings etc, and which
allows for easy transfer of the digital files onto my PC. Any
experiences would be appreciated.

Julie
