Hi, Having said that RedLaser was very accessible I then discovered there was a new update… I just updated it and tried it out only to find that it seems to be better than ever! I tried it out on a few CD covers holding the phone, on purpose, at an angle so that the barcode was not straight interview. RedLaser pinged and within seconds I had my information. More than that, if I scroll down the results screen I can find much more information reviews where to buy it etc this is now looking like quite an interesting app. Also, I find that if you move the phone very slowly you can pick up a barcode on the fly as it were obviously not as easily as handheld shop barcode reader, but really not too bad.
