I personally think that using the phone's timer is a great one and if I ever
decided to use that feature that is brilliant.

  Hi,

Judy Dixon did a wonderful podcast on accessibleworld.org on Monday night
and it's now archived on that site. She did say that they are working on
putting in a timer in a future update of the BARD app. Unfortunately, I
don't have the direct link to the podcast, but it's under the archived
section of accessibleworld.org. Hope you have a chance to give a listen.

Have you taken a look at the Timer tab in the Clock app yet?

The timer goes off when the time is up, so you can start the timer
before or after you start reading the book.

In the Timer tab, you use a few picker items to set how much time you
want to tick off, like 15 or 30 minutes. You then double tap on the what you
want to happen button and select stop playing from the bottom of the list.
It's below all of the alarm tones you can choose. Once you've done that, you
just double tap the start button and the timer starts counting down.

If it were me, I'd start the timer and then start the book reading, so
you don't have to deal with the VO and the timer settings while the book is
being read.

So do you start the book reading then go to the “When timer ends”.
Then click” stop playing” . Then does it give you times to choose from to
stop it from playing?

Use the Timer tab in the clock app. The Clock app should be on your
home pages, and it's also in the Control Center. Double tap on "When timer
ends" and choose "Stop playing" at the bottom of the list.

        Hi,

I know there is no timer on the BARD app. Can someone tell me how
to use or set the timer using IOS. I know from reading other post on this
list that it was told that you had to use the timer on the IOS device as the
sleep timer. I assume that using the timer on the ios device will turn of
the book that is reading in BARD. Also will It turn off the ios device? Any
help on this would be appreciated.
