Have you tried using a 3-finger double tap to turn off voice instead of
Voiceover when on the phone? It's easier that way.

I can't say I have the problem of hanging up calls all of the time, but, it
does happen to me. There are times when I like to turn voice over when I am
on a call and then turn it back on before I hang up.
Someone sent a tip to another list that I am on. The suggesttion is to keep
the phone by your ear, and then tap the top button on the phone, which is
the power on and off and also locks the screen. Do not move the phone away
from your ear and just tap it for a second. It works like a charm.

I don't have a problem with this. When I take my phone away from my ear,
I wait until the speaker phone kicks in and then I do a two finger
double tap. If you don't want to pull your phone away from your face or
wait until the speaker phone kicks in then just hit the lock button.

I did a quick search of the archives, and found this thread about
difficulties with hanging up a call. Was wondering if there were
other threads about this as well, or if others have been experiencing
the same issue. I seem to have a lot of difficulty doing a
two-fingered double tap to end a call. It works 100% of the time when
I am pausing or restarting books in the audible app. I've gone
through the practice and never fail for the two-finger tap to
register. I even placed calls from my land line to my cell phone and
attempt to hang up from the cell phone. It fails to hang up most of
the time. I am under know pressure since it is only me on the other
end. I take my time, try various finger positions, various locations,
but it refuses to disconnect.
So, is it only me and the person who started this thread that are
having this issue? Did the person who started the thread get better
at hanging up or are you still having the issue?
