Hi Christina, Thanks so much for the kind words! A letter starts of as a player 1 or player 2 letter when it drops down at the start of your turn. At the start of player 1's turn 5 player 1 letters drop down and at the start of player 2's turn 5 player 2 letters come down. I hope that clarifies.
