Maria, the Simplenote app for iPhone and iPad is free. I should have mentioned that. If you create a note using that app, it syncs to the Simplenote service. A Simplenote account is required, and it can be set up via the web or via the app. You can also create a note using Simplenot's web interface, and it will immediately be available on the web and to any iPhone, iPad, Windows-based machine, or Mac..
