Reset the phone by holding down the power button for ten seconds. Since this is a fresh install of Windows, you should probably receive a promp on your phone to allow use of that computer. Make sure your saying yes to this prompt (I forget the exact wording). Also read this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4344330?tstart=0 Here are some other steps you can take: 1. Open up device manager (just type device into the start menu and it should appear) 2. Find the iPhone listing. 3. Press delete on iPhone, or right click it and go to delete. Confirm that you wish to delete the iPhone driver. 4. Make sure iTunes is closed, then run the iTunes installer downloaded from Apple.Com. Click repair, and let it do it’s thing. 5. Restart the computer and then attach the iPhone. iTunes should recognize your phone. If the above steps don’t work, try going into your task manager, navigating to the processes tab. Try to find a process named ‘ath.exe’. Kill that by hitting alt+e or hitting the applications key and going to end process.
