Hello Sieghard I second all you said I couldn't of said it better myself.
I believe if anyone needs to advocate it is a good thing, but we should never 
take it to extremes because it never gets us good results as it may in a well 
controlled manner and keeping all possibilities in consideration.
This list is made up of about 95 percent blind only members and some of those 
with some hearing loss, but like you say thanks to apple we do have voice over 
and along with voice over they also decided to add braille access with out 
having to do a separate application  for this.
