I can't explain it either but they are tied together.

Maybe I have two different bugs. :) Maybe sometimes the microphone stays active and maybe other times my speaker stays active? It doesn't really make sense to me. If the microphone is staying active, why would my speaker hiss? :) All I know is that if I text someone right before I go to bed via dictation in an edit field and I forget to ask Siri a question afterwards, when I wake up in the morning my iPhone 5S has gone from 100% to 50 % charge and I can hear my speaker hissing. So, I hardly ever do dictation anymore in an edit field. I just use Siri to send my text messages. I want this bug fixed because I really love the dictation feature. :) I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be fixed with iOS 8. :) Christina On Jul 1, 2014, at 11:27 AM, Sieghard Weitzel <siegh...@live.ca> wrote: > Hi Christina, > > I posted about this yesterday and once again, I don't quite know if > this hissing speaker means also the microphone is active, somehow I > don't see the relationship here.
