Ioana, if you heard the same sound for recording and for pause, how would you know which you were actually doing if you didn't remember and got off by one? I would think that if Apple wanted to do this, there would be a different sound, say two dings for record, and one ding for pause.

I have suggested to apple to let us hear this 2 ding sound when we pause to give a cue that the action was performed successfully.
