Glad it's not just me. I always make sure that I am in braille input mode before I start typing, and I traditionally use the phone in away mode. When the phone decides that it does not want to recognize my gestures, it recognizes nothing. It doesn't matter whether I am in contracted mode or not. I have experimented with finger placement, and extremely exaggerated swipes. Nothing works.
When I learned that Apple was putting braille input into iOS, I had a bit of buyer's remorse for purchasing MBraille. I am so glad I still have it.
