Yes, it is the most rediculous solution, and it is unnecessary, at least on my 
iPhone 5s running iOS 8.1.1, my girlfriend's iPhones 5 and 6+ running iOS 
8.1.1, her ipad 2, 3, and 4, all running iOS 8.1 and 8.1.1 (not all are 
upgraded yet). Testing on all of these devices moves apps the way they have 
always moved, both on the home screen, and into and out from folders. Did you 
test for yourself before going off on your over-the-top absolutely rediculous 
rant at Apple"

I run my business primarily from my iPhone es using iOS 8.1.1. Before iOS 8, I 
needed to use a bluetooth braille display for the keyboard. Now, because I 
spent the time to learn the braille input, I no longer need to carry my braille 
display. I only use it now when I am proofreading important documents and 
presentations. Note: this email is being typed using braille input, and I am 
finally as fast as with the braille display keyboard.

As for the moving and deleting apps in the last row, as reported by some users, 
I have not experienced this problem with any of the afor mentioned iDevices. 
This means, it is an intermentent bug, not a bug that effects all devices. The 
problem with such bugs is they are extremely difficult to find, and even more 
difficult to correct"

Oh, and a note about testing for bugs, if you do so whilst stressed (such as 
the state you were in when writing this email, you will very easily cause the 
appearance of such bugs just because of your emotional excitation. Try again 
later, after relaxing and taking many deep breaths. Then, try again the next 
day, at a different time of day, when you are under different conditions. 
Learning anything new is always stressful, and we always make mistakes. In 
fact, the greater the stress and anxiety, the worse the mistakes we make.

Apple continues inovating. They continue adding new features to iOS, to 
VoiceOver, and to general accessibility. In six months, my girlfriend and I 
will be presenting a paper comparing Apple's latest with Android's latest 
regarding all of each system's accessibility options. So, I will start learning 
Android TalkBack this weekend. My girlfriend finds Apple's low vision features 
to be better overall than Android. That said, we will start testing with low 
vision students in January.

So, contrary to your assertions, Steve Jobs would be quite happy with Apple and 
where it is heading.
