I'm not clear to me whether DBI is now part of the PERL core.  (I run 5.6.1
from Craig's pre-built version, and DBI was included in that.  CGI is part of
core and you list it, so I'm not sure ...) Anyway, must have DBI.  

(I don't think it's practical to incorporate Dbd::Rdb, Dbd::MySQL, Dbd::Oracle
unless  you're actually running those databases, but it would be nice to have
Perl work with all those out of the box.)

Lib::Chart would be nice.

Ought to be fine.

(I'd nominate Dan Sugalski as the closest thing to official there is in the 
Perl world -- but your doing it ought to be fine.)

This part of the general consensus is opposed to that.
