The Perl Kit for the current freeware CD has been submitted to Hoff. This does contain a copy of 5.8.1 RC4, the module list discussed earlier, plus
DBI and Chart::Plot.
When this was discussed earlier I tried to take a look at the module list but couldn't get through. Then I went on vacation and forgot about it when I got back. Hope it's not too late to chime in...
Please make note somewhere that perl is now built with IEEE floats as the default, and that this perl is built using the defaults. (Has anyone tried a 5.8 build using VAX floats yet?)
I'd also like to see VMS::Lock included in the module list, though I may be the only one using it.
