The Xvnc application (the server for most unixes) requires that you add a
parameter so that it knows where the java classes are, and what port you
want to serve those classes on:

-httpd /somepathtoclassesdir
and
-httpport port

this of course means that you need to know where the classes dir is, but on
my solaris installs, the classes dir has always been installed in the same
folder as the Xvnc executable.

my Xvnc script looks like this:

/home/vnc/Xvnc -geometry 1280x1024 -once -query scoopbeta2 -httpd
/home/vnc/classes -httpport 5803 -cc 3 :3
/home/vnc/start-vnc3

the "-query scoopbeta2" is a solarisism that allows me to start my CDE
session with little or no fuss.
