I've seen this problem before, and it has a number of causes. These
include, but are not limited to, a problem with the server configuration on
the PC, a different resolution/colour depth on the server to the client, or
just because the wind is blowing the wrong way. I have one or two that will
say 'connection closed' at least 1 time out of 4.

Try stripping off the version of VNC you've got on their now, and trying
another distribution, either the AT&T, or Tight/Tridia (depending on what
you've got on there now) and see if they behave any different.

Subject: Connection Closed

Hi, my name is Stuart, I am the computer coordinator of a high school in
Sydney Australia. I have just discovered vnc and have it running on most
machines. One machine (win 2000) comes up with "connection closed" from all
the other machines (98 and 2000). Any ideas?

Stuart
