This is a very basic request but hopefully someone can help.
I'm doing a project using vnet and need some avatars. Does anyone
know if there are any freely available avatars that I could use. I've
looked at some sites but I need one to represent a man and another for
a woman (not a pamela anderson type). The application is quite formal
so the 'space age' types aren't suitable. What I really need is a
repesentation of 'ordinary' people but also I would like to be able to
put in gestures such as nodding, folding arms etc. I know I could
make my own but since vrml is a means to an end rather than the main
purpose of my project, it would save me a lot of time if I could
re-use some existing avatars.
Also, I did try to get one from a site but the code was in binary, I
tried using gzip but it didn't seem to recognise the original. I
don't know what I was doing wrong!
