Hi Brid,

Anybody is welcome to use my avatars, though none of them is articulated
(unless you count the dog's wagging tail :)

I hope to be building more avatars soon which will be articulated, but I
don't think it will be in time for your project. In the meantime you might
check out:

* some of the HumanoidAnimation working group's avatars and ask the people
involved if you can use their avatars
http://ece.uwaterloo.ca:80/~h-anim/

* check out Blaxxun. There are lots of gesturing avatars there, though I
don't know if they can be used outside Blaxxun's worlds.

* the best place for avatars that look like normal humans is ActiveWorlds,
however they are not written in VRML so can't be used in VNet. I was told
of a RenderWare to VRML converter but it would be a major undertaking to
convert the actions as well... I am not sure how it could be done.

* Holodesk uses gesturing VRML avatars. I think the avatars are probably
proprietary, but it wouldn't hurt to ask them. They are a nice bunch of
people at VRTelecom.

* Cati Laporte has some articulated avatars working in VNet right now. She
may be able to help.

Best wishes,

All I want is a kind word and a warm bed and unlimited power.
