Do you mean a java program running on a server that links VNet users and
worlds?

Do you mean a java program that runs locally on the client machine that
connects to VNet worlds and users? (Like an IRC program does?)
I like the idea of a downloadable java program that I run locally to
connect to VNet worlds.
On a slightly cautionary note, I have just finished reading an
extraordinary account of internet misuse. http://grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm
I wonder if there is any potential for misuse of this stuff. It would be
rotten if our desire for cool new VNet stuff backfired on us. Somehow I
think it extremely unlikely... but it bears thinking about.

Q. What is the similarity between an elephant and a grape?
A. They are both purple... except for the elephant.
